Launde Abbey Person-Centred Encounter Weekend
Our next planned encounter group is just a few months away and I wanted to check any final interest and bookings, before I confirm details with Launde Abbey about our requirements, which I aim to settle later this month.
As you may know, this provision offers an unstructured weekend where our only fixed points of contact are around meal times.
Launde Abbey is set in the privacy of its own peaceful valley in the heart of the East Leicestershire wold surrounded by 11 acres of garden and over 400 acres of pasture and woodland. Launde Abbey is an Elizabethan manor house built on the site of an Augustinian Priory founded in 1119. The Chapel is used for daily worship by the resident community and of course, visitors.

If you would like to join us we earnestly request that you post me full payment of £181.00 by cheque payable to ‘Launde Abbey Encounter’ sent to above address.
This must be accompanied by a fully completed and signed Statement and Booking Form. Please complete the form fully. Please email me for a booking form: [email protected]
If you have any special medical or dietary requirements (including vegetarian/vegan/other diets) could you please inform me also if wheelchair/or a ground floor room/or disabled space is a preferred option.
If you are able to send me a self-addressed envelope (at the point of booking a place for your receipt), I would be grateful. It is our continued aim to keep our administration costs low. The encounter weekend is not for making profit and it is therefore essential that payments are made promptly. We avoid incurring penalties by paying promptly. It is advisable to take out travel insurance against this booking to cover any possible unforeseen need to cancel at a later date. Although I endeavour to “fill” late cancellations, it is not always possible!
During our last stay, some people found the leather, hard backed chairs to be too high. Please feel free to bring anything that will enable your ‘encounter’ to be more comfortable. For me, that will mean my comfortable, camping chair that I love sitting on. Other people may have cushions, bean bags etc.
If you have any further queries do not hesitate to contact me, Liz Allen or Dave Woodall.
With continued trust, in the process. Anne Booth and Dave Woodall Dave Woodall is contactable via: Telephone: 01455 636787 [email protected]
