The Person-Centred Association Local Groups
The Person-Centred Association (TPCA) Local Groups are a way to meet other individuals who are committed to person centred ideals. They are run by volunteers according to the diverse needs of their members.
Most groups welcome anyone regardless of whether or not they are a member of TPCA or if they are a counsellor. TPCA contribute to the start-up costs of local groups and are also keen to support and promote special interest groups. The most important consideration for any group is an interest and commitment to the person centred approach.
There are currently TPCA Local Groups from Cumbria to Cornwall with new groups being launched every few months. Some groups run workshops while others are a means of keeping in touch with like-minded people. Check your nearest group below:
Meets monthly. For qualified (diploma) & or practising counsellors, to develop the PC core conditions within themselves. Cost £4 per meet. Room 1, Roy Fletcher Centre, 12 - 17 Crosshill, Shrewsbury, SY1 1JE. Meets last Tues of each month, 7.30-9pm
We welcome people who share a passion for, or an interest in, the person centred approach to share experiences and ideas and for development and training.We usually meet at North Staffs Mind, 83 Marsh Street, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent ST1 5HN on the last Sat of each month but contact Stephen for details because there are also 'topic-based' meetings.
A counselling professionals' support and continuing development group for P-C practitioners, other counsellors and therapists interested in the PCA and students in training. Meets second Wednesday of each month 7.30-9.30pm. Please get in touch.
